Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer in---The Family (2013)

Fred Blake/Giovanni Manzoni (Robert De Niro) a Mafia Boss who was an important part of the mob has informed to the CIA about the entire organization. Therefore---Fred and his wife Maggie (Michelle Pfeiffer) their son Warren (John D’Leo) and Daughter Belle (Dianna Agron) are relocated to Normandy, France and are using the last name of Blake in lieu of Manzoni.

Their CIA contact is Agent Stansfield (Tommy Lee Jones) who tries to keep them safe with strict instructions to them---that is was necessary to live---a quiet existence. But poor Agent Stansfield ends up relocating the Manzoni Family time and time again.

Why is this happening? Because they still solved all their issues the “Family” way---and that means in violent loud commotions---nothing is done by this family in a silent mode. With all their issues and trying to fit in to a society of a normal family life style---this is a funny movie.

And of course with their uncivilized behavior---the mob is hot on their trail---so this pushes Agent Stansfield to work constantly in trying to keep them safe. The family is relocated time and time again---staying just leaps ahead of the old cronies from the mob---who are sent as hit men to assassinate the Manzoni Family.

Agent Stansfield tries to drum it into their heads to please live quietly so the neighbors cannot gossip and spread the news where you are located. This is a sinisterly funny film and the acting is great---of course. With Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones and the beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer no one would expect---anything but the best.

I am marking my calendar for September 13th 2013 for the premiere of “The Family.” I hope you will too.

Under Siege Starring Steven Seagal, Gary Busey and Tommy Lee Jones

This is one of my favorite Steven Seagal Movies and I actually played the video so much over the years it broke---so I replaced it with a DVD---because this movie is good----movie lovers.

Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal) is a cook on the US battleship Missouri. No one aboard the ship knows that Casey is also a Navy Seal but Captain Adams (Patrick O’Neal). Casey is his personal cook. Captain Adams and Casey trust each other as they have history together in the Navy.

Casey is well liked and trusted by all who worked closely with him in the kitchen. He only has one person who does not like him and that is ships XO Commander Krill (Gary Busey).

Commander Krill is actually jealous of Casey’s relationship with the Captain; and cannot get the Captain to reprimand Casey about any issue he has with Casey.

Commander Krill was in trouble with the Captain when he found out that Commander Krill
approved a helicopter landing on the Missouri without clearing it with him.

Krill told the Captain that it was a surprise for his birthday. So the Captain gave in and Krill told the Captain to stay in his cabin until they came to get him.

In the meantime Krill visits Casey’s kitchen just as Casey put pies in the oven--- and tells him about the Birthday surprise and Casey tells him---I am the only one who cooks for the Captain.

Krill tells him to stand down that food is being sent for the Captain’s Surprise Birthday party-- and then spits in a pot of food Casey was cooking.
Casey did not take it with a fight. Then Krill had Casey locked up in one of the freezers.

The Helicopter has landed and on board was Miss July—Jordan Tate (Erika Eleniak), who was given a gig to pop out of a cake for the Captain’s Birthday Party.

And, also getting off the Helicopter was William Stranix (Tommy Lee Jones) posing a leader of a rock band, but is really a mercenary and all the members of the rock band are mercenaries.

When the music stopped the shooting started with the highest Naval Officer in charge shot first then all the others at his table.

Then Commander Krill dressed like a woman with a wig goes to the Captain’s quarters and killed the Captain and the service man that was guarding the door.

William Stranix was a CIA operative who has or orchestrated the plan to unload all the Missouri’s nuclear warheads onto a submarine.

Stranix also has a vendetta with a CIA agent who sent assassins to kill him after he completed a job for them. Sealing the USA’s nuclear warheads is a way of making them pay for trying to kill him.

Krill tells Stranix about Casey being locked up a freezer---so he sends two men to kill him. And this is when the action begins. Casey uses his Deal training and hit them with everything he has and so begins the war on the Missouri. Hell has no fury like Casey when he fights back.

Man of the House

Now what could make a Tommy Lee Jones movie even better? Adding a group of University of Texas Cheerleaders because they witnessed a homicide and saw the murderer; and of course and having Tommy Lee as Texas Ranger (Lt.Roland Sharp) guard them.

Lt. Ranger Sharp has been assigned to act as an undercover coach assistant and live with the cheerleaders in a two storied house along with two deputies.

Now since Lt. Ranger Sharp has a daughter is a little aware of how teenagers act. Or is he? Will Ranger Sharp learn anything from the girls and will the girls learn from him?

The beautiful Professor Polly McCarthy (Ann Archer) will impress the hard nosed Ranger. Will a romance begin? If the five cheerleaders have anything to say about it---there will be love in the air?

Watch as Anne (Christina Milian), Teresa (Paula Garces), Heather (Vanessa Ferlito), Barb (Kelli Garner) and Evie (Monica Kenna) the cheerleaders will turn the rough edges of the adamant Ranger Sharp into a polished charmer.

This movie is funny, dangerous, romantic and life changing for all--- as they learn the ins and outs of living together and how to help each other as a second family.

Circumstances brings the---Father Know Best Attitude---out for all the girls to benefit---from his experience's and knowledge---even if they think he is over-the-hill and maybe hopeless. Hopeless or not the girls will give the Ranger a make-over.
