Focus with Will Smith, Margot Robbie and BD Wong (February 27, 2015)

Nicky Spurgeon (Will Smith) an experienced confidence-man who used his charisma to acquire the trust of his marks; then he and his team of thirty begin setting the stage to pull off a profitable scam. His choice comes from the wealthiest to swindle and as an old-timer at this game he becomes very wealthy too.

His focus interrupted briefly when he met Jess Barrett (Margot Robbie) who wanted in on his cons. Her beauty seems to hypnotize him because he becomes her mentor for a while and even falls for her charms. When his friend Owens (Gerald McRaney) warned him his greatest asset is being inconspicuous---he takes it to heart.

Although Nicky and Jess were romantically involved and he felt for her more than he should; he breaks off their romance to stay focused on his career of scamming. His team depended on him for their living, so personal feelings are too much of a liability. Jess leaves with some heartache and a lot of new skills she learned from Nicky.

36 months later Jess has her own scam business going; with her beautiful face and body what man could resist her charms to become ensnared into a compromising position. Nicky runs into his former love interest in Buenos Aires, he watched Jess a vision in red walk down the stairs straight into his heart again.
Jess’ smile froze his mind for a minute and he could not breathe---her beauty would do that to any man he whispered to no one in particular. A handsome billionaire who races’ cars is her current target. Her presents on his playing field became an issue because of the target; and the bad boys began trying to play in the same sandbox with bigger shovels.

Nicky’s ongoing plans of his present target proved dangerous because Jess took front and center in the perfect grifter’s mind. How would this end? Would Nicky and Jess walked into the sunset holding hands or would they both end up pushing up daisies. Distraction could prove deadly if Nicky’s focus becomes captured; his fast moves and thinking will be off and, then his life will be
over.
