Nicolas Cage & Rachel Nichols in---Tokarev (2014)

Paul Maguire (Nicolas Cage) many years before he started his family he and his cronies Kane (Max Ryan) and Danny Doherty (Michael McGrady) are leading a life of crime. And being young, tough, and arrogant they planned to rob a Russian mobster; which was the biggest mistake of their lives. They interrupted the Russian taking a briefcase of money to his boss. Not only did they get a lot of cash; but as a plus they got a Tokarev, a Russian gun.

So now that Paul is happy with enough money to front a legal business he would leave the criminal lifestyle. O’Connell agreed for him to leave which is rare for a crime boss to do. However, ambushing the Russian started a long-drawn-out war between the Irish Crime Family and the Russian mob. Because of the war going on they hid the money and waited for five years before they met to split it.

Paul started his construction business and his luck continued when he met and married a beautiful intelligent woman named Vanessa (Rachel Nichols). The happy couple soon became three with a daughter name Caitlin (Aubrey Peeples) who is now a teenager. Life is great for Paul; with a successful business, and a family whom he adores. Just how could it get any better he might wonder?

Then just as suddenly when life is bright and glorious---it quickly turns into a living Hell --- for Paul and his wife Vanessa. Paul and Vanessa go to a charity dinner one night while Caitlin stays at home with friends Evan (Jack Falahee) and Mike (Max Flower). The three are having a great time when several Russians break in knocking the boys around and taking Caitlin with them.

Why did this happen after all the years that passed? Who did this to Paul’s daughter? Was it Chernov (Pasha D. Lynchnikoff) or was it O’Connell? How did anyone find out about the ambush so many years ago? Someone had to tell, but who was it?

I cannot wait to see this action in 2014 when the première date's announced. This will be heart-stopper for sure with all the action one can only see in a payback movies. Revenge is deadlier than being mad about lost money. Obtaining revenge--- the hate just boils over and all-wise decisions and common sense goes into orbit---where the fireworks follows.
