Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) still a Secret Service agent protecting President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman) who trust Mike because he has been faithful, true and honest; plus saving his life on many occasions. The president only completely trust one man and this Mike.

Mike reconnects with is old friend an Army Ranger Teammate Wade Jennings (Danny Huston). He goes through a training at his friends military facility in Virginia.  Wade is the CEO of Salient Global which is locate on his 5000 acres that he calls Disneyland.

Wade has his own hidden agenda as he talks to Mike about government contracts. He complained that since the Blackwater fiasco they cancelled all contracts causing his business to be crippled. He knew Mike was up for a promotion and could help him. He told Mike if he could get a contract to train Special Ops at Salient Global it would get him out of the red. Mike replied that he would see what he could do.

President Trumbull in a meeting with the Vice President Martin Kirby (Tim Blake Nelson) when he stated- I thought I made myself clear about no private contractors. The subject about a leak was brought up and no one admitted to being the one who talked out of the Oval Office.

While President Trumbull was on a fishing trip with Mike and his protection team an attempt was made on his life by a swarm of armed drones. the only survivals were the president and Mike. Mike saved the president.

The action starts to heat up when Mike wakes up to being cuffed to his hospital bed. He is questioned by FBI Special Agent Helen Thompson (Jada Pinkett Smith) although Mike answered truthfully she had him arrested. The president was in a coma not aware of this occurrence.

Mike wife Leah (Piper Perabo) was questioned by FBI Special Agent Helen Thompson and it did not end well as Leah told her off.

This is a very good movie and it was well worth $9.99 I purchased it from Walmart in the store.
It only get better with more action when Mike visits his Dad played by Nick Nolte.

White House Down Starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx

The day started out very pleasant for John Cale (Channing Tatum) and his daughter Emily (Joey King) because they were going to spend the day together.

John is a Capitol policeman and he is taking his daughter on a tour of the White House, and while he is there he will be interviewed for a job with the Secret Service. His aspiration has been to work for the Secret Service and to protect President James Sawyer.

When he tells Emily about his intentions---she is so proud of her dad---but it does not matter to her if he is a Capitol policeman or working for the Secret Service---but it seems to matter to her dad so she hopes he gets the job.

John goes into the interview room leaving Emily outside waiting for him. He is interviewed by Secret Service Agent (Maggie Gylenhaal) and she asked him the average questions any HR Clerk would ---however---the clerk would be more professional with interviewing an applicant. John answered the question honestly and from his heart---as this was his dream to work here.

The she said, “You barely maintained a C average in college.” With that said---which was very unprofessional to me---Special Agent Todd is in the room and he snickered. The whole interview was anything but professional.

So John tells Emily, “I think I have a shot at it---you know how it is---they have to talk amongst themselves.” But he knew he would not get what he aspired for---protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx).

So John and Emily continued their tour of the White House. Suddenly---their tour is interrupted by a powerfully armed troop of terrorist led by Stenz (Jason Clarke) to take over the White House.

John is caught in the middle of it all with his daughter---he fears for her and the President Sawyer. He is the only one who can help---so he escapes from the terrorist and starts to look for the President.

Then all the actions from Hell broke loose as he fights his way out with the President. President Sawyer can fight also---when he has to. It opens in theaters June 28, 2013  in the USA

I cannot wait for this action packed thriller with Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx these are two of my favorite actors. My popcorn is ready---now bring on the film.
