Prairie Fever with Kevin Sorbo, Lance Henriksen and Dominique Swain

Preston Biggs( Kevin Sorbo) a town sheriff intervening in a bank robbery shootout in the street as one outlaw held a woman in front of him as a shield; hoping to get away. The woman shouted ‘Shoot him, shoot him’ as the outlaw pushed her; the sheriff shot missing his target and killed the woman. The worst experience for the sheriff; the woman was his wife.

Two years later Preston Biggs is the town drunk because he blamed himself for his wife’s death. The sheriff gave him a job so he could earn money to pay for the property damages in the bar. He now had a get out of jail job.

The job was to take three women with prairie fever from their town who came there as mail-order brides. He would travel by wagon with the three women to Carson City to the nearest train.

The worst one was Lettie (Jillian Armenante) whose cell was next to Preston’s before their journey. She tried to kill Preston through the bars. She hated all men because of the abuse she received from her husband---and she had scars to prove it.

She tried to kill her husband---so she waited in jail until she boarded the wagon to Carson City. Lettie loved music and had her organ that she brought into the marriage with her. Her husband had threatened to destroy it and that is when Lettie tried to kill him.

The second traveler named Blue (Felicia Day) another mail-order bride who carried a Bible and quoted from it with her ‘Hell Fire and Damnations’ words spurred continuously talking.

Her husband told Preston at first she was a sweet loving wife---but no longer so he was sending her to an asylum with her family’s blessings. Her husband later found out the reason she acted so strangely.

The Third one was Abigail (Dominique Swain) who screamed the sky was too big and would fall on the ground and cover her head. Later her actions became clear.

This is a good western movie with a story I am sure happened many times with mail-order brides. Love also began on this journey to make the movie more romantic.

And, we learned about everyone traveling together---and to spice it up---a fourth woman whose named Olivia Thibodeaux (Jamie Ann Allman) joined them because she left her husband, Monte James (Lance Henriksen) who is a gambler and who is much older than Olivia.

S.W.A.T. with L.L. Cool J, Samuel L. Jackson, Colin Farrell & Michelle Rodriguez

The S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons And Tactics) team is sent to The Valley Trust Bank where shots were fired; they encountered a robbery gone badly with hostages inside.

And, an ongoing gun battle in front of the bank with the robbers positioned by the get-away car. S.W.A.T. members are placed on top of the building to enter from the ceiling. Jim Street (Colin Farrell) and Brian Gamble (Jeremy Renner) partners entered into the bank.

Jim Street’s Navy SEAL background prepared him for any assignment the S.W.A.T. team faced; he is calm under stress and well trained in tactical maneuvers

With the outside robbers killed and only two remained inside the bank---the robbers panicked---one robber grabbed a woman and used her as a shield. Brian fired and accidentally hits the woman, then he killed the robber; while Jim killed the other one. The bank is secured for the other hostages to leave, while Jim comforts the woman who was shot by Brian until the EMT’s arrived.

Captain Fuller of California’s LAPD Metro Division (Larry Poindexter) demoted both Jim and Brian off the S.W.A.T.team and, sent them to work in the gun cage. Brian resigns after he told his captain off and tried to hit him. Fuller tried to get Jim to turn on Brian and promised him back on the team if he did. Jim would not do it.

Brian’s hot temper caused him to confront Jim about staying because he was leaving. Jim had not agreed with Brian about shooting the woman in the bank robbery.

They agreed to disagree, after being partners for five years--- Brian leaves after slamming Jim’s head into a mirror, and Jim goes to the gun cage with hope of a chance to return to the S.W.A.T. team in the near future.

The famous ‘Hondo’ aka Sergeant Daniel Harrelson (Samuel L. Jackson) is called in to help re-organize the S.W.A.T. team. Hondo’s experience is “Old School” and he does it with professionalism---and sometimes his way.

The Chief of Police wanted Hondo to put together a young team trained to get the job done---Hondo’s way. He needed to recruit three to fill the order of the five new trained S.W.A.T. members; he already had T.J. McCabe (Josh Charles) and Michael 'Boxer' Boxer (Brian Van Holt).

Hondo asked Jim to be his driver while he recruited. He recruited Deacon ‘DeKe’ Kay (LLCool J) and Chris Sanchez (Michelle Rodriguez). Then, he asked Jim to fill the last opening and he told Hondo that Fuller would never approve it.

Fuller did approve it and so Hondo's team is completed. Then, the action begins as a French Drug Lord Alex Montel (Olivier Martinez) came to America to kill his uncle. And, unfortunately for him was pulled over for a broken tail light and then arrested. The LAPD received information Montel was an international fugitive with warrants out for him in 12 countries.

Alex Montel is worth billions and shouts out to the crowd and news media he will give a 100 million dollars to anyone who gets him out of prison. The rest of the movie is filled with action and mayhem. The newly trained S.W.A.T. team is put to the test of keeping the fugitive in custody. Or, will he get away? Will the team members be put in jeopardy from greed for the promised 100 million?

Expendables 2

This movie is packed with action, adventure, firepower, fighting, it looks like a small war behind these guys wherever they go. The leader of the team is Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) a rough exterior of a man who takes no prisoners kind of guy, whose appearance is strong, fierce and relentless when it comes to his enemies or any enemy who has sinned against humane living; but one can tell he does have a kind heart under all the hardness. The beautiful scenery in the movie adds to the viewer’s pleasure as the guys travel overland and in their plane.

The movie begins with Barney Ross and his team Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) who seems to be Barney’s right hand man---is equally just as fierce with his expertise with a knife or sword. Yin Yang (Jet Li) probably knows all the martial arts including judo, jiu jitsa, and aikide and is so fast he spins like a top. Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren) is a Swedish skilled genius who is on a mission to get the job done and is the scariest looking of them all. Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) is a walking tall wall of a muscular giant---this is one man who is a team on his own. Toll Road ( Randy Couture) evens out the team with his strength and professional quietness---looking at him---one can refer to the saying, “Still Waters Run Deep” and the enemy should never hesitate when he  is confronted by him.

These are the main five who are from a disbanded old-school “Mercenaries” that has formed a team of Expendables men living on the edge as they take high risk missions for big money. And each one knows in advance they are expendable and might at any time be killed, even though they have each other’s back.

Joined for a short time is Bill the Kid they call him (Liam Hemsworth) who is skilled as a sniper---and he is one of the best long ranger sniper known. He is a handsome young man that the guys are in awe of because of his skills and youth. They have forgotten how it was to be that young again---because they are reasoned older men with the skills of a small army, rough, tough and rode hard.

In finishing up a mission they not only rescued the target but found Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger) tied to a chair by the enemy Japanese Terrorist  Group and they saved them both.

Then finally after a long mission they are flying home for a long deserved rest---in Barney’s plane that he uses as his home---when Church (Bruce Willis) calls him to remind him he took his 5 million dollars and now he owned him a mission.

In this mission Maggie (Nan Yu) joins the Expendables---because Church insisted she go with them because she has the skill needed to rescue an item--- he needs from a wrecked plane.

This is where they met Vilian (Jean-Claude Van Damme) the meanest inhumane psychotic man on the planet and the mayhem begins. Vilian leads a band of Terrorist-for-Hire cutthroats.

This is a volatile movie and the screen lights-up like the 4th of July  fireworks all going at once when Barney’s team and the Terrorist-for-Hire butt heads over 5 tons of weapon-grade Plutonium.
Any action fan can get their thrill with this movie and I am one of them. I rate this movie---WOW!
