Tango and Cash (1989) Starring Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell

Narcotics Detective Ray Tango (Sylvester Stallone) is a very dark handsome, debonair man and wealthy man---ranking higher on the social level than a regular Beverly Hills Detective. When others are checking the sports status of their favorite team, Ray Tango is checking on the stock market and his investments.

Completely different from Narcotics Detective Gabriel Cash (Kurt Russell) who is also very good-looking, with sapphire-blue eyes and deep dimples; and, who thinks dressing well is wearing a clean shirt and jeans. He fits in with the Downtown Los Angeles division.

Tango and Cash are very popular and cannot endure each other; as each is proud of his known fame. And enjoyed being held in such esteem by many. They worked every day in their districts without running into each other, while both upset the Crime Lord Yves Perret (Jack Palance) as they searched and destroyed his drug operations.Yves Perret is livid because Tango and Cash reduced his income as they shut down more and more of his drug operations daily. So he concocts a plan to get them both out of his hair and business.

Tango and Cash received information of a big drug bust at a certain location one night, so they both showed up. And, of course they ran into each other as planned by Perret. Each man with his huge ego will try to outdo the other by being first on the scene. Little did they know it was a frame-up; and, a dead FBI agent waited for them wearing a wire.

Suddenly, they’re surrounded by FBI agents who finds Cash’s pistol on the floor; resulting in their arrested. Their trail was not long and the frame-up worked because the audio tape convicted them by an audio expert who verified the tape as authentic.

They plead no contest to a lesser charge for 18 months in a minimum-security prison. However, bad luck rode the bus with them as they arrived at a maximum-security prison where criminals they arrested in the past were serving time.

Tango’s only family was his beautiful sister Katherine ‘Kiki’ Tango (Teri Hatcher) who worked as a dancer in a club. Tango loved his sister very much and was overly protective of her. He constantly wanted to buy her things, and she wanted to get them on her own. Now, what do you think will happen when Cash meets Kiki?

This is a good movie and over the years I enjoyed my video; until my video player ate it. So I need to buy a DVD of Tango and Cash.

The A-Team--Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper & Sharlto Copley

Somewhere in Mexico Col. Hannibal Smith (Liam Neeson) is handcuffed to a chair by Mexican corrupted police officers who are taking turns hitting him.

They soon get tired of beating him, they take his money and leave, but they send in the Bulldogs to have a free meal of Hannibal. Hannibal unlocks the cuffs with the pin from his gun just in time to save himself from the dogs.

Then somewhere else in Mexico B.A. Baracus (Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson) is back to collect his girl---that is what he calls his black van that he loves---from a garage owner who is keeping it.

Suddenly, a fight breaks out and B.A. Baracus, who has huge arms with muscles rippling down to his fingertips, makes a short and fast exit with his van after knocking everyone out who fought with him.

He has tattoos on each hand. The left hand has the word ‘Play’ tattooed on it and the right one has the word ‘Fool’; he starts his fights with the play fist and ends up with the fool fist.

Still in Mexico is Lt. ‘Faceman ‘Face’ Peck ( Bradley Cooper) who is now being invaded by more crooked and mean Mexicans who are holding his girlfriend and has him trapped in five tries. They are beating him all the while Face is laughing and asking them---is that your best shot?

Face is trapped in the tires.

In the meantime Hannibal is trying to get to him by running across the desert to save Face, when he sees a van moving fast in the direction of his friend. Hannibal stops the van and hijacks it by shooting B.A. Baracus in the right arm. Hannibal tells him---I am not a thief but if I do not reach my friend in time he dies. Hannibal and B.A. discovered they were both special selected soldiers---Rangers---and proudly wear the same tattoo.

They arrive in time to save Face from being burned alive and the four of them the three men and Face’s girlfriend ride off in B.A.’s girl---the black van. They meet up with the fourth special selected soldier in the hospital who will sew-up the bullet wound on B.A.’s arm. His name is Captain H.M. Murdock (Sharlto Copley) he will be the fourth member of the A-Team.

Then the mission begins with the four American soldiers---The A-Team---who are in Iraq waiting to be sent on a mission by Hannibal’s good friend General Morrison.

They are sent to retrieve plates for printing 100 dollar bills, and, the thieves had already printed a billion dollars. And, this is where the action commences, with adventure fireworks, dealings, double dealings, double crossing, court martialed, prison and prison breaks.

Fasten your seatbelt all you action fans because this is a great action movie---I loved it from the beginning to the end. I would love to see this A-Team do an A-Team II.

Note: I love Bradley Cooper in this movie he is funny.

Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Johnson in---Double Jeopardy (1999)

A great movie with Tommy Lee Jones, and Ashley Judd, that is full of action-packed scenes that would keep even the critics glued to the screen. It all takes place in the Wealthy neighborhood of Whidbey Island with Ashley as Elizabeth (Libby) Parsons, and Bruce Greenwood as Nick Parson, her husband.

Because of being in debt Nick parson has a plan what will send his wife to prison and leave him free to do as he wishes. And his wish is to have Annabeth Gish as Ashley Green to look after Libby and Nick’s four-year-old son Matty, while he wheels and deals making himself rich. All the while Libby is serving time in prison for something she did not do.

Libby made friends while incarcerated, and one of them was an attorney before she was disbarred and sent to prison for killing her husband; however, she told Libby when she got out, she could walk up to Nick in Time Square and shoot him; and not be arrested because you cannot be convicted twice for a crime—and it was called Double Jeopardy, a clause in the Fifth Amendment.

Finally, Libby is out on parole after seven years, and she starts looking for Matty, while trying to follow all the rules of Tommy Lee Jones as Parole Office Travis Lehman.

But she is strong willed and determined and takes Office Travis Lehman for a ride of his life.
Libby was left alone in the car with her wrist in handcuffs--that did not stop her from trying to escape. She would die trying to see Matty.

Finally, she was face to face with the liar. Sweat broke out on Nick's forehead because he knew Hell was coming--and now it was standing in front of him in a beautiful expensive dress.

Nick thought Libby was no more since he thought he killed her and she would not be found for a very long time. He could continue his rich-guy-womanizing while he strutted around like a bit shot.

Nick got the upper hand after he shot Travis in the arm and then tried to kill Libby again for the second time. Travis rushed Nick---giving Libby time to get her gun and finally she shot Nick twice. At last the evil-liar was dead.

Travis and Libby drove to Matty's school and surprised him. Matty told his mother--They told me you were dead. Then mother and son hugged and held each other in a loving way. Travis watched and smile from his car--he felt that justice was now delivered in the love of the two he was watching.
This is a very good movie—I have watched my old video so many times—and I am planning to watch it more.
