Force of Execution---Steven Seagal, Danny Trejo and Ving Rhames (2013)

Alexander Coates (Steven Seagal) is the king of crime as he sits on his throne over-seeing his territory given to him as his birthright. However, deep in his thoughts is a desire to get out of the business. Although he has worked hard for his criminal kingdom and all its monetary gains---he wants more, and maybe that more is a normal life with a family.

But it does not matter what he wishes for at the moment because there’s an issue to handle that takes its place. Alexander sends for Roman Hurst ( Bren Foster) his assassin apprentice who’s trained to function and complete assignments given to him. Roman is as skilled in martial arts as Alexander and proves it by his actions.

Alexander cares for Roman who might be the closest to a good friend he has, but he has trained everyone in employment---that each are responsible for their actions. If they do something wrong they accept their punishment. So, when he sends Roman into a prison to assassinate a prisoner he expects the job completed without complications.

Roman fights his way into the prison using all his skills and then some; and, finally finds the mark and kills him. What appeared as a simple assignment to Alexander is a case of mistaken identity for Roman. So, Alexander being the tough dogmatic king of his empire feels that Roman has embarrassed him. Therefore, Roman will suffer the consequences, and since he is the brave silent type he is ready to do so.

Alexander gives Roman over to gangsters for his punishment with a heavy heart maybe. Or--- is he a cruel demented criminal without one? Roman is hurt really bad as they smashed his hands so he cannot use a gun or his skills to defend himself. He hides to heal while he suffers silently in his dark mood. He stays in a room over a business owned and operated by Jimmy Peanuts (Danny Trejo) and, finally Jimmy helps his hands heal. Jimmy is as mean and dangerous as any criminal and will fight for the ones close to his heart.

When the Ice Man (Ving Rhames) hits town and starts to take over Alexander’s kingdom the fireworks begin, and mayhem and chaos become a normal day. The Ice Man is not afraid of Mr. Alexander as he calls him. However, it is never wise to underestimate a seasoned crime lord. And, this is when Alexander jumps into the mix and shows the Ice Man why he is king of his empire.

I cannot wait to get this DVD and it comes out December 17th 2013. Steven Seagal has been one of my favorite action actors for many years. And, like my chosen white wine---he just gets better and better.

Fire Down Below---Steven Seagal & Kris Kristofferson

Jack Taggart (Steven Seagal) is an EPA (Environmental Protection Agent) whose best friend another EPA Frank Elkins (John Diehl) murdered in Kentucky while on an assignment. The Kentucky State Police said it was an accident because his truck fell into the river. The EPA thought differently, and this is why Jack Taggart is on his way to where Frank secured the water sample that tested off the charts for a poisonous substance.

The last time Jack talked to Frank they planned to go hunting and fishing when he returned from Kentucky. But he never returned from Kentucky and neither did two FBI agents who met the same fate.

Frank Elkins went to Kentucky after the EPA received an anonymous letter from a small town in Kentucky named Jackson. The letter stated the water was contaminated with something that was killing the fish and making people so sick they died. And he also sent in his report that an abandoned coal mine shaft proved to be the dumping place for the toxic waste. And, the Hanner Coal Company was owned by a big business tycoon Orin Hanner, Sr. (Krist Kristofferson) who was using it to make millions while he killed the territory around it along with the people.

Orin Hanner, Sr. only cared for himself and the money he made. The people and the land around Jackson Kentucky meant nothing to him; only the millions of dollars he collected from big businesses to dispose of their chemical waste.

When Jack lands his plane--- he met his contact who is Preacher Bob Goodall (Levon Helm) and he takes Jack to his living quarters down from the church. Jack will be undercover as a carpenter while he collects evidence against Orin Hanner, Sr. to put him away for life.

Preacher Goodall gave Jack a list of people who needed work on their houses. On his first day of repairing a home the family had a sick boy who had a rash on his arm. Jack found this out after the sisters told him about their sick brother.

That night Sheriff Lloyd ( Ed Bruce) who is owned by the wealthy Orin Hanner, Sr. drove to the church with Orin Hanner, Jr. (Brad Hunt) who works for his father and is just as mean and crooked as he is. Orin, Sr. wanted to know who Jack was and what he was doing there. Sheriff Lloyd wanted to talk with Jack the new guy in town, but Orin, Jr. said no let the boys scare him first.

In essence the boys did not scare Jack when they put two rattlesnakes in his room, and they did not scare him off when they picked a fight by telling him to “Get Out.” But they ended up as the ones hurt, bleeding and bruised.

The longer he stayed in Jackson the more people will like him and maybe someone will trust him enough to share information. All he needed was more evidence and a witness who will point out the guilty ones in court.

Now, Jack has met Sarah Kellogg (Marg Helgenberger) who appears to live by herself with her bees. Her bees are her only income it seems as Jack witnessed her trading the honey she sold at the local grocery store for food.

They become friends and she helped him in the end and he helps her come out of her dark past which was not her fault. This is a movie with drama, action, adventure and thriller
sprinkled with a little romance.

I hope you enjoyed it.

Tango and Cash (1989) Starring Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell

Narcotics Detective Ray Tango (Sylvester Stallone) is a very dark handsome, debonair man and wealthy man---ranking higher on the social level than a regular Beverly Hills Detective. When others are checking the sports status of their favorite team, Ray Tango is checking on the stock market and his investments.

Completely different from Narcotics Detective Gabriel Cash (Kurt Russell) who is also very good-looking, with sapphire-blue eyes and deep dimples; and, who thinks dressing well is wearing a clean shirt and jeans. He fits in with the Downtown Los Angeles division.

Tango and Cash are very popular and cannot endure each other; as each is proud of his known fame. And enjoyed being held in such esteem by many. They worked every day in their districts without running into each other, while both upset the Crime Lord Yves Perret (Jack Palance) as they searched and destroyed his drug operations.Yves Perret is livid because Tango and Cash reduced his income as they shut down more and more of his drug operations daily. So he concocts a plan to get them both out of his hair and business.

Tango and Cash received information of a big drug bust at a certain location one night, so they both showed up. And, of course they ran into each other as planned by Perret. Each man with his huge ego will try to outdo the other by being first on the scene. Little did they know it was a frame-up; and, a dead FBI agent waited for them wearing a wire.

Suddenly, they’re surrounded by FBI agents who finds Cash’s pistol on the floor; resulting in their arrested. Their trail was not long and the frame-up worked because the audio tape convicted them by an audio expert who verified the tape as authentic.

They plead no contest to a lesser charge for 18 months in a minimum-security prison. However, bad luck rode the bus with them as they arrived at a maximum-security prison where criminals they arrested in the past were serving time.

Tango’s only family was his beautiful sister Katherine ‘Kiki’ Tango (Teri Hatcher) who worked as a dancer in a club. Tango loved his sister very much and was overly protective of her. He constantly wanted to buy her things, and she wanted to get them on her own. Now, what do you think will happen when Cash meets Kiki?

This is a good movie and over the years I enjoyed my video; until my video player ate it. So I need to buy a DVD of Tango and Cash.
