Hitman: Agent 47 with Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware and Ciarán Hinds--- Premieres August 28th (USA)

This is an action movie I cannot wait to see and when you view the trailer I am sure you will agree. This movie is a reboot from the video game that is very popular around the world..

This movie begins with Agent 47 (Rupert Friend) who has a bar code on the back of his head with the numbers 640508 040147; and he only answers to 47, which are the last two numbers tattooed on his head. When someone asked for his name he says 47.

47 is the creation involving decades of research including 46 *genetically engineered clones before him. He is a top assassin with unique quickness, power, endurance and intelligence. And, created by ‘The Agent Program’ with the scientist in charge---who is responsible for Agent 47--- played by(Ciarán Hinds).

Agent 47 works for a covert organization; ‘The International Contracts Agency’--- that controls assassinations of prestigious targets.

47 must complete two tasks: first find his creator’s daughter, Katie Van Dees (Hannah Ware) because she can help him to eliminate the influential and illegal enemies that are trying to build an Army of creations like 47 with her information.

Will 47 feel emotions about Katie as they work together?  Is Katie listening to John Smith (Zachary Quinto) that Agent 47 is the key to find her father? Does John Smith have an ulterior-motive? Does 47 or John Smith really cares about Katie’s feelings?

Note: Paul Walker was committed to play Agent 47, but sadly we lost him in 2013. Then Rupert Friend acquired the role of 47, and from the trailer I’ve seen---he is great as Agent 47.

The November Man with Pierce Brosnan, Eliza Taylor & Olga Kurylenko

Peter Devereaux (Pierce Brosnan) deserved a peaceful retirement after working for the CIA as an operative for many years.

His skills were exceptional and synonymous only with his apprentice training of many pupils.

Anyone lucky enough to be his pupil always had the advantage over other spies and operatives. So with deep thought and consideration the CIA paid Peter a visit and requested his services back into the CIA Agency immediately.

One little detail the CIA neglected to tell him----which was one of his training lessons---know your nemeses when you start after the same target.

Peter taught everything to his pupils to protect them in this business of spying. And, when he found out his nemesis was his former protégé David Manson (Luke Bracey) and now his rival---Peter was prepared for the challenge.

What happens when the well experienced older operative’s opponent is his younger self; who was energized, with super-fast reflexes, and knew the answer---while his rival was thinking of the question? The agility of Peter Devereaux proved still intact and well-oiled.

Now two human cannons would be firing at each other as they start their assignment, which involves top officials of the CIA and a Russian who is aspiring to be president.

Will Peter save Alice Fournier (Olga Kurylenko) from harm? Will Sarah (Eliza Taylor) be an ally for

Peter or David? We will see all our answers when the movie premieres August 27, 2014. I cannot wait to see Pierce Brosnan in action once again----it has been too long.

The Equalizer---Denzel Washington, Chloe Grace Mortez & Melissa Leo (2014)

Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) becomes tired of his very demanding life so he pseudocide himself in order to live a discreet life in Boston. With his background training of a previous black ops commando he was a trained killing machine.

He retired from being a helper to the helpless who could not defend themselves. Envision how quick his reflexes react to a sudden move from an unknown enemy or a shadow suddenly in his view.

Even on a beautiful calm sunny day lightning can strike and this is what happened when he
visited the Bridge Diner one night. Robert sat quietly sat at his table reading a book.

Then, a young girl who was dressed like she was in business of a “Lady of the Night” named Teri (Chloe Grace Mortez) started a conversation with him by asking what his book was about.

He told her it was about a knight in shining armor, which she made a reply. He then told her she could be anything she wanted to be---to change her world.

Later she walked out to meet someone in a car when suddenly one of his men hits her across the face and pushed her inside. And, all of this was done while Robert watched from the window of the diner.

This is not sit right with Robert and he decided he would rescue her from the pimps who took her. So, he used his skills to find her, and then he used his skills to kill the five pimps.

He later found out from his former handler (Melissa Leo) these five men were Russian gangsters aka Russian Mafia. Robert came out of retirement to save a helpless girl, and now the Russian Mafia will be hot on his trail for revenge.

Since the Russians do not know Robert McCall’s background they are in full force to find and kill him. I am afraid they will be in for a big surprise.

I am so happy to see Denzel Washington---one of my favorite actors back in an action film. So mark your calendars for September 26, 2014 for the premiere of the Equalizer.

Gone Girl---Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris (October 3, 2014)

Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) and Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike) were married four years, happily or not.

Well, it would depend on whom you asked. Nick, a tall dark and very handsome man married Amy a beautiful blond, and they started their lives together in marital bliss and in the same profession as writers.

Now, I for one know how dedicated one has to be in order to write a news-worthy story or article, which will sell if you are a freelance writer.

Or, if you work as a journalist for a newspaper or magazine one has to also meet the deadlines in order to keep your job.

So, it seems that Nick and Amy jointly hit a very rough patch by not making any money in their profession. So, when this happens to a young couple—it seems the solution is to move back home---where one can heal in the glow of their family and close friends.

However, this does not always prove to be the best solution if one of them is not delighted with living in a small town environment, when New York was where he/she is happy.

We all know what happens behind closed doors, is not always---what is seen in, public. A couple who cannot keep their hands off each other when dining out with friends---are often fooling themselves---about their true feeling.

A happy couple does not need to prove to others they love and desire each other---what is in one’s, heart is shared and cherished at home.

So, the very day Nick and Amy were to celebrate their fifth (5th) wedding anniversary; Amy disappeared. Not only does this seem a little too clever, but well planned to happen on a wedding anniversary.

I see a message here from an angry Amy to a bewildered Nick---saying you will be sorry now for taking me from New York---to this nowhere town.

As usual when a wife is missing---the husband is the number one suspect. And, when a couple has not been happy for any length of time---sometimes the one who feels neglected seeks affection elsewhere.

So, are we to believe that Nick is a killer or did Amy run away to find a more exciting life. She sounds a little spoiled if she really did this to her husband and family.

We can only wait to see if Amy is alive and well or if Nick really killed her? Or maybe an old boyfriend is getting his revenge by kidnapping her. Will we know on October 3rd? I will be there with my Popcorn and Milk Duds waiting for the movie to start because any movie Ben Affleck is in---I want to see it.

Fast and Furious 6 with Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson Plus Fast 7 Trailers

Dominic Toretto nickname Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) and their team’s last heist secured their crew with 100 million--- each retired and settled across the globe. Sadly--- they cannot return home because of their records and they know their lives are in limbo. Although they are wealthy they cannot go home so they unhappy and feel incomplete.

In the meantime Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has been on a mission of tracking a team of very dangerous and skilled mercenary drivers. He has tracked them across 12 countries. He has been unsuccessful in getting close enough to them to capture the team or at least the brains of the outfit.

The mastermind is called Shaw (Luke Evans) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguz) his merciless second in command. Everyone thought Letty was dead---she was Dom's love.

The only way to put an end to these mercenaries is to meet them on their level. In the street and run them into the ground.

So Hobbs pays Dom a visit and asked for his help and he shows him the picture he has as proof that Letty is alive and well. Dom really does not know how to handle this information—he is happy---hurt and confused.
So Dom calls his special team to assemble in London to hear Hobbs out and then Don will tell him the team will only do it for full pardons.

So the deal is set and the action begins and the chase is on---nothing is held back it will be hit them hard and fast before they can think. But I do not think it will be that easy. We will see after the action starts.

State of Play

Intrigue, murder, cover-up makes this movie an attention keeper. It has one’s mind going around in a labyrinth. Just when you believe you know the answer---of who did what to whom---it blows up in your face.

The first scene---we see what appears to be a common thief as he burst from an alleyway nearly collided with an elderly couple. And slides over the front of a moving car; then he ran and hid in an alley behind large garbage cans. He waits awhile trying to catch his breath---then starts looking around to see if it is safe to leave his haven. It was a bad move because his pursuer shot him twice---and few second later a guy delivering Pizza on a bike rode by---and the killer shot him also.

The first guy shot was dead, but the second guy was in critical condition in a comma.  The Pizza man had a family he was trying to support with his low wage job, and now the family might have no one.

Next we see Cal McAffrey (Russell Crowe) who looks like a reject from the 60’s with his long hair and unshaven face; driving his car singing, dialing his cell phone, eating and spilling food all over the car and then he throws his trash on the back seat; which by now looks like a refuse can. When he arrived he greeted Det. Bell who is investigating the crime scene.

Cal McAffrey is a brilliant reporter for the Globe in Washington DC and is known by many of the law enforcement employees. Cal smells a story behind the story of what just happened, and he goes to work on solving it. He is unflappable but works for a tough Editor Cameron Lynne (Helen Mirren) whose bottom line is whatever is good for the paper. She is a fan of Cal’s but she does not give him sweet words of praise very often---because she knows it is sales that will keep her bread and butter.
Then a beautiful young redhead leaves her home to walk to the subway station as it is her mode of travel to her job. Upon arriving there she stands close to the edge waiting for the subway---one just knows something bad is going to happen.

The police called Congressmen Stephen Collins’ (Ben Affleck) office before he arrived . When he arrives his secretary tells him Soni Baker (Maria Thayer) who worked for the Congressman as his aide was killed in an accident at Metro this morning she was identified by her badge.

Congressman Collins is stunned---he stands with a look of disbelief. One of his staff members reminds him that it is time for the meeting this morning.

The meeting begins with Stephen Collins saying—Welcome to our hearing of Private Security Contractor Winkle into the Defense Answers and Practices—before we begin I have received some terrible news.

This is only the beginning of the story---now the News Media is speculating that Congressman Collins had an affair with his aide Soni Baker. The Domino effect begins as Cal McAffery

Congressmen Collins is a young tall dark and handsome man who is married. Will he remain the darling of his political party? Will his wife forgive him? Will he turn to his college room-mate Cal McAffrey for help? Is he innocent of being involved in the murders?

This is a great movie---and I am watching it again tonight, as one always misses something the first time. Enjoy the State of Play Movie.
